How It All Started
Following a distinguished career in the industry Donal Somers founded Platinum Air Conditioning to offer a bespoke and personalised service in the HVAC industry. Established relationships with leading HVAC manufacturers and distributors allowed Platinum to deliver enhanced value to Clients.

Big Step Forward
Partnered with a leading Irish real estate developer to work on a significant HVAC upgrade of a major portfolio of office buildings in Dublin improving the energy rating of the buildings. This initiative facilitated industry leading tenant attraction and retention in the subsequent years.
2021
Taking on Bigger Projects
Delivered a full-scale mechanical installation for the Dublin office and R&D lab of a leading NASDAQ-listed semiconductor manufacturer. The project included the integration of a high-efficiency VRF ducted air conditioning system with heat recovery ventilation, ensuring optimal energy performance and indoor comfort. Specialist climate control solutions were also provided for the comms room and laboratory to support critical operations.

Expanding Our Services
Platinum expands more broadly into the mechanical sector employing skilled plumbers to complement its existing engineering operatives. Major projects involved the full mechanical installation on a leading Dublin office redevelopment along with high end multi unit housing developments.
